Ben Gruber

Ben Gruber is an Associate Attorney focusing on insurance defense litigation at Matteuzzi Law. He represents insured individuals and carriers in claims involving personal injury, property damage, and complex liability issues. Known for his strategic approach and meticulous attention to detail, Ben is committed to achieving efficient, results-oriented outcomes through thorough analysis and strong advocacy. He is licensed to practice in Missouri and Kansas.

Ben earned his J.D. from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law, where he graduated in the top quartile of his class. He was recognized with the Sheridan Award for Top Oralist in Moot Court and elected to ABA and Student Bar Association Representative. During law school, he interned with the High Court of Ireland, where he conducted research and drafted memoranda on appellate cases involving environmental and contract law.

Before entering the legal profession, Ben earned an M.B.A. in Marketing, Finance, and Entrepreneurship at the Bloch School of Management at the University of Missouri – Kansas City, where he later taught and held leadership roles in higher education, designing and managing academic and mentorship programs for aspiring entrepreneurs, working closely with startups and academic partners to support entrepreneurial development in Kansas City. His experience in business and education gives him a unique perspective on legal issues faced by companies and their employees. Ben brings valuable insight into the financial, organizational, and operational considerations often underlying insurance defense and complex litigation matters.

Beyond academia and the courtroom, Ben is a lifelong creative. A former opera singer, he has lent his voice and production skills to commercial projects in radio and television. With a background in performing arts, he merges strategic thinking with creative communication, and has channeled his passion for advocacy and analysis into diverse roles in law, education, and entrepreneurship. This creative foundation enhances his communication skills and allows him to bring empathy, clarity, and persuasive advocacy to every case he handles.
